Résumé
Avec une grande tendresse, cette pièce raconte l’amour que se portent un homme et une femme qui n’ont pas les mots pour l’exprimer.
Nous sommes un soir d’été, face à la mer, quelque part sur la côte sicilienne.
Lui est assis au bord de l’eau, il attend. Elle est sur le point de rejoindre leur maison pour le dîner, mais elle n’arrive pas à se décider à rentrer, à le laisser seul, ainsi.
– Tu sais, moi, la nuit, la mer, ça m’fait peur.
– Pourquoi ça ?
– J’en sais rien ! C’est p’têtre parce que j’la vois pas. J’sais pas où elle commence.
– Elle commence là, tu vois pas ?

Je pense qu’il est nécessaire de revenir par moments à l’authenticité des sentiments et des relations humaines, plus particulièrement dans un monde anxiogène où l’artificiel prends de plus en plus de place
Il me tient à coeur de partager avec cette pièce un peu de tendresse à travers des instants de simplicité entre ces deux personnages qui n’arrivent pas à exprimer leur amour. Il en naît alors de la maladresse, de la frustration, parfois de la honte.
J’aimerais inviter les spectateurs à rentrer dans l’histoire comme s’ils regardaient un tableau qui s’animerait le temps de la représentation. C’est une dimension paisible, presque idyllique.
La pièce commence avec un temps de silence, ponctué par le bruit des vagues. Lui est assis, tranquille, elle est debout, plus agitée.
La mer est face à eux, elle s’étend dans le public, c’est une atmosphère intime et extérieure à la fois. Il n’y a pas de changement d’espace temps ni d’espace lieu.
